What happened to ListenOnRepeat, and what to use now
ListenOnRepeat, or Listen On Repeat, was a free website at listenonrepeat.com for looping YouTube videos. It counted how many times you played each one and let you loop just part of a video. People started reporting it offline around November 2025, and there's been no word from the people who ran it.
Back On Repeat is a free web app made to replace it. It loops YouTube songs, or just one section of a song, and counts every play. Your listening history, favorites and playlists are kept, so you can look back at what you had on repeat months ago.

The address bar trick still works
On any YouTube video, change youtube.com to backonrepeat.com in the address bar and
press Enter. The video opens in Back On Repeat and starts looping. Short links work too: change
youtu.be/ to backonrepeat.com/.
There are some extras too. You can stop after a set number of plays or set a sleep timer. There are slowed and sped up presets. If a video gets taken down, your plays stay in your history and you can move them to another upload of the same song.
Questions
Is ListenOnRepeat coming back?
We don't know. Back On Repeat isn't connected to ListenOnRepeat or the people who ran it, and we have no information about its plans.
Can I get my ListenOnRepeat history back?
No. Your ListenOnRepeat history was kept by ListenOnRepeat, and Back On Repeat has no way to read it. Your play counts start fresh on Back On Repeat, and from then on you can export them as CSV or JSON whenever you like.
Is Back On Repeat free?
Yes. It's free to use and there are no ads.
Do I need an account?
No. Without an account, your history is saved in your browser. If you sign in, it syncs between your devices.
Can it keep playing with my screen off?
No. Videos play in YouTube's own player, and YouTube doesn't allow background playback, so the video has to stay on screen.
